Sr. Field Technician

Room Ready is seeking a confident decision maker for its Field Operations team. The Sr. Field Technician is a mid‑level technician primarily responsible for the accurate and efficient installation of simple to complex video conference spaces, and may oversee entry‑level technicians.

$28.00/hr – $38.00/hr

Portland, OR area with travel up to 100% of the time within the PNW and Western regions.

• Install AV system racks and perform on‑site staging of AV equipment.
• Label equipment and field cabling per Technical Standards.
• Perform cable placement and termination.
• Read blueprints and drawings.
• Collaborate with certification teams.
• Train clients on operating Room Ready solutions.
• Travel as required (up to 100% of the time).
• Install Video Conferencing systems in classrooms, conference rooms, and other spaces.
• Represent the company, greet customers politely and professionally.
• Use Lead Tech as primary communication conduit for technical questions.
• Complete documentation accurately and within required time frames.

• Experience installing and troubleshooting AV systems.
• Experience working with control system touch panels.
• Proficiency with construction techniques and structured cabling.
• Use of basic hand and power tools.
• Ability to integrate, test, and certify AV systems; background in video conferencing and audio system configuration required.
• Familiarity with audio DSP setup, control system testing, and troubleshooting; ability to configure common video interfaces.
• Minimum 2 years of audiovisual or construction experience.
• CTS‑I certified or equivalent work experience.
• OSHA 30 certification.
