Facilities Maintenance Technician – CL (Open Until Filled)

City of Portland – Full‑time, full‑time regular. Supports Portland Parks & Recreation (PP&R) and Bureau of Environmental Services (BES). Variable shifts, sometimes Saturday.

• Inspect, diagnose, service, and troubleshoot HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical systems.
• Check equipment for glitches and inconsistencies.
• Repair defective components to avoid operational delays.
• Install and assemble new machines.
• Respond to work orders and maintain preventive maintenance schedules.
• Ensure operational efficiency, safety, and comfort in diverse environments.

• Knowledge of building/facility automated control systems and components.
• Experience performing building maintenance, repairs, and preventive maintenance inspections.
• Experience installing, maintaining, and repairing HVAC, refrigeration, and electrical systems.
• Experience managing facility maintenance hazards and safety precautions, including OSHA standards.
• LME electrical license (or higher Oregon electrical license) and valid state driver’s license.
• Refrigerant 608, Class 3 boilers, backflow/ cross connection, confined space entry, brazing certifications are advantageous.
