Regional Field Service Technician Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Field Service Technician to join our team and provide expert installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of conveyor systems. This role requires a proactive approach to technical issues and a commitment to ensuring the highest standards of safety and quality.
Responsibilities- Respond to service calls within 6 hours of the initial call.
- Perform scheduled preventive maintenance and be available for all service calls within the geographic region, keeping a bag packed for readiness.
- Ensure compliance with project specifications, safety regulations, and quality standards.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to the installation and maintenance of conveyor systems.
- Communicate project status, risks, and issues to project managers and internal teams.
- Collaborate with other departments such as engineering, sales, and customer service to ensure project success.
- Maintain accurate project documentation and reports.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
- Experience working with conveyor systems.
- PLC knowledge and understanding of mechanical and electrical aspects of conveyor systems or industrial equipment.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics.
- Strong problem‑solving and analytical skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office products.

Work EnvironmentThe work environment involves exposure to moving mechanical parts and requires adherence to safety standards, particularly when working at Amazon facilities. Employees must be comfortable using hand and power tools, climbing ladders, and operating forklifts and scissor lifts. The role demands physical stamina and the ability to handle materials in compliance with safety data sheet requirements.
Job Type & LocationThis is a Permanent position based out of Portland, OR.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $30.00 - $35.00/hr.
