DPI Staffing is searching for a motivated Maintenance Technician who is ready to jump in and keep equipment running like a well-oiled machine for a client in the North Portland area.

You'll be hands-on with preventative maintenance, repairs, and inspections, all while working in a team that values safety and getting the job done right. If you're mechanically skilled, enjoy troubleshooting, fixing things on the fly, and taking pride in your work, this may be the opportunity for you!

Pay: $30/hr

Job Responsibilities:
  • Perform preventative maintenance, inspections, and repairs on vehicles and equipment using personal mechanic's tools
  • Communicate clearly and professionally with team members and supervisors
  • Prioritize tasks to reduce downtime and maintain fleet readiness
  • Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues both on-site and remotely via phone
  • Conduct pre-use checks and ensure proper functioning of all equipment
  • Assist with loading/unloading equipment and maintain shop cleanliness and organization
  • Enter repair details, service costs, and parts usage accurately into the Parts Order & Reporting (POR) system
  • Research and order replacement parts online or by phone, ensuring cost-effectiveness and compatibility
  • Respond to service calls and complete maintenance using checklists to ensure thorough work
  • Inspect returned and new equipment to assess condition, functionality, and readiness for rental
  • Recommend retiring equipment based on performance, repair history, and cost analysis
  • Maintain a safe work environment
  • Ensure new chemicals have updated SDS sheets and notify manager accordingly
  • Promote and follow safe work practices, including proper handling of fuels and waste materials
  • Always use and encourage use of personal protective equipment (PPE)
