Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Equipment Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining and repairing a variety of heavy equipment and machinery, utility trucks, bucket lefts. This role requires a strong understanding of mechanical systems, hydraulics, and diesel engines, along with the ability to perform heavy lifting and operate heavy equipment safely.

Duties
  • Conduct routine maintenance and repairs on heavy equipment, ensuring optimal performance and safety.
  • Diagnose mechanical issues using appropriate tools and techniques.
  • Assemble and disassemble machinery components as needed for repairs or upgrades.
  • Operate heavy equipment for testing purposes and to assist in repairs.
  • Service air brake systems and perform necessary adjustments or replacements.
  • Work collaboratively with other technicians to transmit information regarding equipment status and repair needs.
  • Maintain accurate records of repairs, maintenance schedules, and parts inventory.
  • Follow safety protocols while working in various environments, including outdoor settings.
Requirements
  • Proficiency in diesel engine repair and maintenance.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude with experience as a mechanic or service technician.
  • Knowledge of hydraulics systems and their operation.
  • Ability to perform heavy lifting as required by the job (up to 50 pounds).
  • Experience in operating heavy equipment safely and efficiently.
  • Familiarity with air brake systems and their servicing requirements.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
  • Strong communication skills to effectively transmit information within the team.
  • Must have Class A CDL
  • Experience woring on bucket trucks and various cranes
