Position OverviewThe Resource Specialist serves as the first point of contact for individuals reaching out to NARA NW. This position plays a vital role in connecting community members with needed resources and ensuring timely, coordinated support. It requires expertise in all NARA NW programs and community resources, helping clients navigate services, schedule appointments, and check referral status.
What You Will Do- Serve as the first line of contact for clients, families, and community members.
- Provide information and guidance on all NARA NW programs.
- Conduct brief screenings to determine client needs and make appropriate referrals.
- Schedule initial appointments across all NARA NW programs.
- Check referral and application status for clients.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of community resources.
- Document client contacts, referrals, and follow-up activities accurately.
- Collaborate with program staff for smooth handoffs and continuity of care.
- Participate in staff training and development, sharing resources and best practices.
- Attend internal and external meetings, representing Social Services.
- Promote a Whole Health approach that incorporates recovery, physical and behavioral health, and spiritual well-being.
- Assist with leading team huddles and program meetings.
- Work collaboratively and maintain professional boundaries with clients and staff.
