Helping Hands provides HOPE and CARE through personal, trauma‑informed programs to individuals experiencing homelessness. Our programs are Trauma‑Informed, Data‑Driven, and Person‑Centered. We learn each individual's story to connect them to appropriate resources and foster collaborations with community partners.
Position SummaryEvery participant in our reentry program is assigned a case manager to provide support. The case manager ensures participants meet program requirements, set and achieve goals, and identifies resources to support success with the ultimate goal of transitioning participants into long‑term housing. Compensation: $22.71/hour (full‑time), benefit eligible, medical/dental/vision/PTO/401k.

Facility Director.
Work Schedule:
Full‑time, flexible with occasional early morning, evening, and weekend work.
- Assess each participant’s needs and obtain knowledge of each person’s history through interviewing, records review, and consultation.
- Schedule and conduct monthly meetings with assigned participants to create and update individual reentry plans (IRPs) with new goals, as well as assess the status of prior goals to determine achievement and/or other strategies for completion.
- Help participants achieve and maintain program compliance.
- Assist participants with navigating external resources to achieve their goals and/or maintain program eligibility, such as: scheduling appointments with the DMV, applying for SNAP benefits, referring them to affordable health care and/or housing resources, finding and scheduling with medical providers, job searches, etc.
- Collaborate with other professionals involved in the participant’s success, such as: sponsors, doctors, lawyers, DHS workers, counselors, peer support specialists, family members, parole officers, etc.
- Maintain confidentiality of each person involved in our reentry program.
- Consult with participants experiencing a crisis by de‑escalating situations using trauma‑informed techniques.
- Identify and facilitate connection with appropriate resources in‑the‑moment.
- Build a resource network to support participants in a variety of areas, such as: medical, mental health, DUI classes, social groups, financial counseling/coaching, legal support, etc.
- Develop relationships with local property managers, landlords, housing authorities, and developers of affordable housing.
- Maintain current information on housing opportunities, community resources and applicable laws.
- Provide education and resources to participants on how to secure and maintain permanent housing.
- Coordinate the application and payment of rental assistance for program participants.
- High School Diploma or Equivalent.
- Minimum of one year of case management in social services experience – an equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
- Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills.
- Excellent documentation skills.
- Basic technology skills, such as: using Microsoft programs (word processing and spreadsheets), using a computer, inputting information into software, using a smart phone, and sending emails.
- Work is primarily performed indoors in an office setting, occasionally accompanied by a moderate noise level and exposure to scents.
- Frequently sitting/standing at computer or staying in a stationary position.
- Frequently operating a computer and other office productivity equipment, such as copy machine, printer, and phone.
- Occasionally required to move about within the facility for different meetings, office equipment, etc.
- Direct or Lived Experience with homelessness, addiction, and/or low‑income populations.
- Understanding of the issues surrounding homelessness, chemical dependency, domestic violence, and sexual assault.
