Position:
Sr. Software Engineer
Location: Portland, OR, in-person

Position Description
We are looking for a motivated and highly skilled Software team member that will be responsible for working with a cross-disciplinary team of engineers developing and maturing our rapidly growing family of counter drone technologies. This role will be involved with designing, developing, testing, and maintaining software for counter UAS systems. You will work with individual and networked systems, designing and maintaining software that enables advanced capabilities.

This role will work in a software development and manufacturing environment where projects are realized with the highest degree of commitment to quality and efficiency.

Required Skills/Qualifications

• 5+ years’ Experience developing software
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Adaptable, eager to learn, and create, with a proactive attitude towards continuous improvement
• Ability to work in a small team to rapidly prototype and develop new products
• C/C++ and python proficiency
• Experience with Jira, and Git Lab or Github

Preferred Skills/Qualifications

• Experience developing with microcontrollers
• Experience with serial data protocols
• Experience with embedded debuggers like JTAG
• Experience with CI/CD tools
• Ability to develop using application containers such as docker

Education

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, computer engineering or related field.

• Must have the ability to stand, climb, occasionally lift a minimum of 25 lbs.
• Regularly required to crouch and reach to install/move equipment by bending forward at the waist or by bending legs and spine
• Involves movement between departments, floors, and worksites to facilitate work.
• May be performing physical activities including, but not limited to, heavy lifting and moving of items, climbing in and out of equipment, crawling, and working outdoors.

Other Requirements
It is an essential requirement for the person in this role to have a legal right to work in the United States and be eligible to obtain any required Export Authorization and DoD Clearance.

Salary: $120,000- $150,000 annually
Salary depends on relevant work experience, education, training, essential skills, and/or other factors such as specialized or high-demand professions. In addition to the annual salary, the position will be eligible for an annual bonus.
