Technical Software Lead
Our client is seeking a seasoned Technical Software Lead to guide the design, development, and delivery of enterprise-scale applications in a highly collaborative environment. This role blends hands‑on engineering with technical leadership, requiring a polyglot mindset across Java and .NET ecosystems and the ability to mentor engineers while driving high‑quality, scalable solutions. The ideal candidate is equally comfortable writing code, shaping architecture, and partnering with business and technical stakeholders.
This role is a hybrid model in Beaverton, Oregon.
Technical Software Lead Responsibilities- Lead technical design and development efforts for enterprise, multi-tier applications, ensuring solutions meet performance, scalability, and quality standards.
- Serve as a hands‑on technical leader, contributing production‑level code while guiding and mentoring application engineers through best practices.
- Collaborate with business partners, project managers, and technical peers to translate complex business needs into clear functional and technical specifications.
- Drive modern engineering practices, including test‑driven development, automated testing, and performance analysis using profiling tools.
- Partner with other technical leads to plan releases, resolve complex technical issues, and support applications in production environments.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent professional experience (9+ years in Information Technology).
- 6+ years of hands‑on experience developing production applications in Java.
- 4+ years of hands‑on experience developing applications in C#/.NET.
- 6+ years of experience designing and building enterprise‑level, object‑oriented, multi‑tier applications.
- 4+ years of experience working with RESTful web services, SQL‑based data stores, and cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure.
- Proven experience with test‑driven development, automated unit testing, and diagnosing performance issues using profiling tools.
- Strong communication skills with demonstrated ability to estimate engineering effort and collaborate effectively with cross‑functional teams.
