Position: Senior Frontend Technical Lead (React / Next.js)

Senior Frontend Technical Lead (React / Next.js) Our client is seeking a Senior Frontend Technical Lead (React / Next.js) to provide hands‑on technical leadership for a modern, component‑driven web platform. This individual will guide frontend architecture, set engineering standards, and collaborate closely with product and design partners to deliver a high‑quality, scalable user experience. The ideal candidate blends deep frontend expertise with strong mentorship, craftsmanship, and delivery ownership.

This role is fully remote.

Senior Frontend Technical Lead (React / Next.js) Responsibilities
  • Lead frontend architecture and implementation using React and Next.js, ensuring scalable, performant, and maintainable solutions.
  • Own advanced Next.js capabilities including server‑side rendering, static generation, routing strategies, middleware, and edge‑based patterns.
  • Partner closely with Product Management, Design, and Engineering to define technical approaches, implementation standards, and delivery expectations.
  • Translate design specifications into accessible, reusable component systems using a component‑driven development workflow.
  • Establish and enforce best practices around performance optimization, Web Vitals, code splitting, caching strategies, and asset management.
  • Guide frontend data integration patterns, including state management and consumption of REST and Graph

    QL APIs.
  • Ensure accessibility standards are met across the application, including semantic markup, keyboard navigation, and screen reader support.
  • Lead code quality efforts through strong Type Script usage, linting, testing, CI/CD workflows, and version control practices.
  • Support deployments and build pipelines across modern hosting platforms and frontend tooling ecosystems.
  • Mentor and support engineers by setting clear expectations for readability, maintainability, and technical craftsmanship.
Senior Frontend Technical Lead (React / Next.js) Qualifications
  • Advanced expertise in React with modern patterns including hooks, component composition, and performance optimization.
  • Deep experience with Next.js and its rendering strategies, server capabilities, and routing architecture.
  • Strong proficiency in Type Script within large, production‑grade frontend codebases.
  • Experience working in component‑driven systems leveraging tools such as Storybook, design tokens, and modular UI architectures.
  • Proven ability to collaborate with designers and translate design artifacts into scalable, accessible frontend solutions.
  • Hands‑on experience with modern styling approaches such as utility‑first CSS frameworks and component‑based styling systems.
  • Solid understanding of frontend state management and data‑handling patterns.
  • Familiarity with Node.js for frontend tooling, build processes, and light backend integrations.
  • Demonstrated commitment to accessibility standards and inclusive user experiences.
  • Experience leading frontend engineering standards, mentoring developers, and influencing technical direction across teams.
