Portland DC - Warehouse/Backup Driver Associate

Full‑time, non‑exempt position at Tire Factory/Point S Distribution Center in Portland, OR. Starting pay is $20.50 per hour, with a $500 hiring bonus and an additional $200 monthly incentive after 90 days. Eligible for 401(k) with matching, health, dental, vision insurance, and other benefits after a waiting period.

Responsibilities
  • Unload incoming deliveries: verify product, count, and condition; report discrepancies.
  • Use forklift, scanner, computer, and proper handling procedures to store or pull inventory safely and efficiently.
  • Pull and verify accurate, timely shipments of all third‑party orders.
  • Check in and load outgoing shipments, confirming product condition and proper documentation.
  • Adhere to safety rules, including wearing harness, using horn while operating forklift, etc.
  • Maintain a clean warehouse environment.
  • Fill in for delivery drivers when needed and operate delivery vehicles according to Highway Code regulations.
  • Deliver orders on time and record any delivery exceptions.
  • Provide top‑notch customer service, representing Tire Factory Distribution.
  • Communicate and work effectively with team members.
  • Perform other tasks assigned by management.
Qualifications
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; age 21 or older.
  • Clean driving record on and off the job and willingness to report violations.
  • Pass background check and drug screen.
  • Ability to lift up to 70 lbs repeatedly.
  • Forklift experience and computer knowledge are a plus.
  • Dependable team player with strong attention to detail.
Preferred Skills
  • Review records of defective or damaged merchandise for accurate claims.
  • Process incoming & outgoing orders and customer returns promptly.
  • Handle job stress and interact effectively with coworkers.
  • Use warehouse computer and bar‑coding equipment proficiently.
Physical Demands
  • Sit, stand, bend, reach, talk, hear, stoop, kneel, crouch, and move about facilities.
  • Operate equipment and lift/carry freight up to 70 lbs regularly.
  • Push/pull heavy products using mechanical aids.
  • Work independently and in a team environment.
  • Meet or exceed efficiency standards.
  • Stand and drive for long periods.
  • Operate heavy machinery and delivery vehicles.
  • Work in extreme weather conditions (heat or cold).

Schedule
