Position: 2nd Shift Production Supervisor

Job Summary

Reports to Plant Manager and is responsible for the materials and production management functions relating to planning, procurement, storage, control, and distribution of materials and products to meet shift objectives. Provides direct supervision over an assigned shift.

Responsibilities
  • Oversees and ensures proper production planning and scheduling are carried out during the assigned shift.
  • Monitors and addresses activities to prevent deviations from production schedules.
  • Balance the level of labor cost and machine requirements during assigned shift.
  • Responsible for the motivation and development of subordinates to optimize their performance and personal growth.
  • Oversee routine housekeeping as required.
  • Performs any other tasks as may be assigned by the Plant Manager.
  • Assist in related department activities and perform related duties, as required.
Qualifications
  • Comprehensive knowledge of product production
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in supervision in a manufacturing environment, leading, planning, coaching, discipline, performance management
  • Strong leadership skills
  • Ability to work with minimum supervision - self starter
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Graduation from High School; including or supplemented by vocational training.
