Position Summary

This pivotal, high-impact sales role is designed for a results-oriented and ambitious Account Executive. The primary objective is to significantly drive revenue growth and expand market share by securing and growing key EPC accounts in the utility-scale solar market. The role requires a sophisticated sales professional who excels in managing complex, high-value sales cycles and is driven to deliver exceptional results.

Responsibilities
  • Strategic Account Leadership:
    Develop, manage, and strategically expand a portfolio of high-value EPC accounts, serving as the primary relationship owner.
  • New Business Development:
    Proactively identify, pursue, and close new business opportunities with target accounts in the utility solar market.
  • Complex Deal Navigation:
    Lead and orchestrate intricate, multi-million dollar sales engagements, coordinating internal resources across engineering, project management, and legal.
  • Exceed Revenue Targets:
    Meet and consistently exceed ambitious sales quotas, demonstrating a documented history of top-tier performance.
  • Serve as a Trusted Advisor:
    Become an expert on Shoals’ value proposition and consultatively guide clients.
  • Strategic Forecasting & Market Intelligence:
    Deliver accurate forecasting and pipeline management in Salesforce, providing market feedback to inform strategy.
Qualifications
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in a quota-carrying, complex solution sales role with a consistent track record of over achievement.
  • Direct experience selling technical renewable energy products, equipment, or solutions in the utility-scale solar, BESS, or renewable markets; existing EPC relationships are highly advantageous.
  • Exceptional drive, self-motivation, and resilience in a competitive market with long sales cycles.
  • Strategic, negotiator, and commercially astute, capable of articulating business cases and managing deals to close.
  • Autonomous and accountable, excelling in a remote, independent environment.
  • Bachelor's degree in business, engineering, marketing, or a related field is preferred.
