Staff Accountant

Company: KBW Financial Staffing & Recruiting – partnering with a growing, privately held company located near Portsmouth, NH.

Location: Portsmouth, NH (multiple entities).

Salary: $60,000 – $75,000 based on overall experience + Competitive Benefits package.

• Manage daily accounting functions including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger entries.
• Reconcile bank accounts and ensure accurate posting of all transactions.
• Process payroll for multiple small entities with attention to accuracy and timeliness.
• Assist with bookkeeping activities for a private office.
• Generate monthly financial statements and support internal reporting.
• Ensure compliance with applicable financial policies and procedures.
• Support year‑end external audits.

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred or equivalent experience.
• 2+ years of general accounting experience.
• Familiarity with AP/AR, payroll, and general ledger reconciliations.
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to work independently.
• Comfortable handling confidential information across entities.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and ERP systems (Quick Books, Net Suite, Dynamics, etc.).
• Experience using payroll software similar to ADP, Paylocity, Kronos, etc.

This is an entry‑level, full‑time position requiring a dynamic individual who enjoys variety in their work and is comfortable working across several entities.
