Part Time Accompanist

Position: Part Time Staff Accompanist
Position title

Part Time Staff Accompanist Description Portsmouth  Music and Arts Center seeks a collaborative pianist to accompany our choir program. The ideal candidate should have experience accompanying choirs of a variety of levels and ages. Creative Aging teaching experience is a plus. The position will be onsite at our building in Portsmouth, NH, on Wednesday and Thursday, and at venues along the NH and ME seacoast for performances in April and May.

Responsibilities Reporting to the Director of Education, duties are as follows:
* Accompany the Sandpipers Youth Chorus (ages 8-12) on Wednesday afternoons
* Accompany Voices in Motion (ages 12-18) on Thursday afternoons
* Accompany the New Horizons Chorus, PMAC's adult choir for all abilities, on Thursday evenings
* Attend faculty meetings several times a year
* Opportunities to perform on faculty concerts as a soloist or with other faculty in a chamber music setting

Qualifications

Bachelor of Music in piano performance, collaborative piano, or equivalent experience preferred.

The successful candidate for this position will be subject to a pre-employment background check.
