Process Engineer III – Portsmouth, NH – Contract (8 Months)
Process Engineer III with 3-7 years of experience in biotech or fluid processing manufacturing. B.S. in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering.
Responsibilities- Manufacturing support: develop technical knowledge on manufacturing equipment and processes.
- Troubleshoot and resolve major equipment breakdowns and quality issues in the suites.
- Provide SME support to manufacturing and other departments for the design and operation of process equipment.
- Conduct technical analyses on manufacturing equipment and processes including PI data analyses, CIP/SIP circuit review, MOC analyses, flow path analyses, etc.
- Plan and execute plant projects involving equipment changes and process improvements.
- Execute commissioning protocols (installation, operation, CIP/SIP, wet testing) with supervisor guidance.
- Review and revise SOPs, work instructions, and maintenance procedures as a result of CAPA, equipment/process changes, and error prevention activities.
- Complete engineering review and approval of batch records.
- Initiate EDCRs for updates to engineering documents including engineering drawings.
- Author commissioning protocols and support investigation and implementation of process/equipment/automation design changes.
- Coordinate mechanical design and piping contractor for site automation changes.
- Maintain scope schedule and budget and resolve EM conflicts related to downstream equipment.
- 3-7 years of experience in biotech or fluid processing manufacturing.
- B.S. in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering.
- Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.
- Experience with CAPA, MOC, and CIP/SIP procedures.
- Ability to coordinate cross-functional projects and influence change controls.
