General Information
Unit Specifics:
Cardiac step-down from CSSU and IVCU, med/surg tele, stroke overflow
Can NOT take patients post Cath lab unless radial artery used, Chest pain r/o, CHF, COPD Cardiac management, chest tubes, hi-flow and Bi-pap, Thoracentesis, PD, Trachs, Pacemakers, Cardiac Cath, CIWA
• Number of Beds :20
• Patient Ratios : 5:1
• Unit staffing description: 4RN teams with free CNC, 2 LNAs and a Unit Clerk
• Type of equipment : IV pumps, sara steadys, Hiflo, bipap, Kangroo pumps
• Documentation system:
Meditech Expanse
• Scheduling requirements: 3- 12hr shifts and every other weekend or 4 week shift
