Territory Manager
We’re seeking a dynamic Territory Manager to sell industrial hardware across a specified geographic region. The role involves cold-calling, prospecting, and delivering products to both existing and prospective customers. Candidates must reside within the territory.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities- Develop new sales prospects through research, referrals, and outreach to businesses near existing customers.
- Make face-to-face calls on both cold and warm prospects.
- Serve customers according to company training materials.
- Submit complete and accurate daily business reports detailing sales orders and prospect calls.
- Present products and services to existing and prospective customers using sample boards, product demos, and the mobile store.
- Maintain the cleanliness, operation, marketing, and functionality of the mobile store.
- Continuously update customer contact information in company software, including notes, names, phone numbers, email addresses, and current physical addresses.
- Provide a fully insured vehicle, covering insurance, fuel, and maintenance, along with required technological tools (tablets, iPad, phones).
- Participate in ongoing professional development activities.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
- Minimum high school diploma or equivalent.
- Outside industrial sales experience preferred, especially in route or industrial sales.
- Proven history of goal attainment.
- Excellent analytical, reasoning, and organizational skills.
- Detail-oriented.
- Ability to clearly articulate ideas and information in written and verbal communications.
- Proficiency with databases, spreadsheets, email, and common business applications.
- Working knowledge of our products helpful.
- Must be able to purchase or lease an approved vehicle (mobile store).
- Must reside within territory.
- Above-average mechanical interest.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently.
- Ability to kneel and bend on a regular basis.
- Clean driving history.
- Professional conduct when representing the company (e.g., driving approved vehicle, wearing company attire, attending company functions).
3rd generation family-owned and operated. 10-year average employee tenure with a 90% retention rate.
CompensationSalary Type: Annual Salary
Salary Range: $70,000 – $90,000 USD
