Project Controls Specialist/Cost Analyst
Location:
Portsmouth, OH
Edgewater Technical Associates, LLC is seeking a dedicated team player to join the Project Controls team to support ongoing facility maintenance and utility services at project sites.
Responsibilities- Direct access and utilization of schedule data to identify key project issues
- Gather and assemble data for schedule development and updates appropriate to tasks
- Identify and analyze project schedule variances
- Collect and update data to produce scheduling reports
- Develop and maintain the Work Breakdown Structure (WBS)
- Ensure effective use of project coding for all cornerstone applications
- Utilize drawings and specifications for schedule development
- Track subcontractor performance
- Measure progress and review schedule performance
- Lead monthly report preparation
- Create and maintain baseline schedule
- Support cost analysis functions through cross‑training
- Participate in planning and scheduling meetings to gain insight into planning and scheduling issues
- Gather data for procedure development
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks seamlessly.
- Senior‑level written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficient PC skills, including Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Adobe Acrobat.
- Ability to apply organizational practices, policies, and procedures to a wide variety of administrative tasks.
- Judgment and discretion to safeguard sensitive information, including classified or otherwise sensitive national security information.
- United States citizenship.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Homeland Security Presidential Directive (HSPD‑12) credential.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Construction, Business or related field and 6‑9 years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Strong project controls skills in cost analysis, trending, and forecasting.
- Ability to manage multiple deadlines.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to interact with multiple customers and organizations.
- Proficient PC skills, including Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Adobe Acrobat.
