Retail Store Management Trainee to join our Team!
$15.00 to $23.00 per hour
This role is designed for external retail assistant managers and store managers interested in “fast-tracking” into a Store Management position. This role requires a minimum of 1 year retail management experience.
Salary and IncentivesOur retail sales associates can earn UP TO 8% on transactions, which could average an additional $2.55 per hour on top of your hourly rate.

We are seeking a Store Manager Trainee with a minimum of six months of Store Management experience. A Store Manager Trainee is accountable for the day-to-day operations of the store and for promoting a positive/productive environment. This role partners with the Store Manager to lead and develop store employees, recruit and retain top talent, maximize financial goals, and manage Customer Relations/Customer Satisfaction.
This position sets the tone for a customer-centric environment.
Alongside the Store Manager, this role analyzes store financial statements to ensure financial goals are met. You will commit to the asset protection program, promote the business, and target new customer acquisitions. All employees work with a variety of merchandise, including jewelry, tools, electronics, firearms (in FFL locations), and more.
This position offers an hourly wage plus commission based on productivity and a bonus based on store performance. The actual pay will depend on location, qualifications, and experience.
Responsibilities- Facilitate a customer-centric environment by engaging customers professionally and addressing issues quickly.
- Monitor and assist in training Pawnbrokers to meet First Cash standards.
- Recruit top talent by sourcing candidates through prescribed channels.
- Open and close the store, manage cash drawers and merchandise, and follow procedures to protect assets.
- Ensure asset protection through inventory control, safety procedures, documentation, and securing loans.
- Administer store processes like inventory, loan management, merchandising, store systems, and reporting.
- Evaluate financial statements and drive profitability through communication and goal-setting.
- Ensure operating standards meet or exceed First Cash standards.
- Monitor loan qualification and buying processes to maintain value and integrity of loans.
- Complete assigned tasks and training for self-development.
- Communicate clearly with employees to convey store mission and profit objectives.
- Remain up-to-date on product knowledge.
- The Assistant Store Manager acts as manager on duty in the absence of the Store Manager.
- Other related duties as assigned.
- Must be willing and able to lift/carry up to 50 pounds.
- Must be willing and able to perform duties for extended periods (standing, stooping, walking, climbing, etc.) in accordance with laws.
- Demonstrated ability to effectively supervise others.
- Ability to work with firearms and become firearms certified.
