KBW Financial has partnered with a high‑growth PE‑backed manufacturer to identify a Controller. In this role you’ll be responsible for accounting, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting, partnering closely with leadership.

Salary: $135,000–$155,000 + bonus and comprehensive benefits.

Location:

2 to 3 days a week in office based in the Portsmouth, RI area.

• Lead month‑end close processes, preparing journal entries and GL/sub‑ledger reconciliations.
• Conduct variance analysis and financial forecasting to support strategic decision‑making.
• Prepare monthly financial statements and board‑level reporting packages.
• Support corporate tax work papers, quarterly tax estimates, and member distributions.
• Drive purchase accounting for new acquisitions and ensure GAAP compliance.
• Assist with year‑end audit preparation and collaborate with external auditors.
• Enhance cash flow forecasting to optimize liquidity and financial planning.
• Contribute to process improvements during the Net Suite ERP implementation.

• Experience:
  
  5+ years experience in public accounting with a background in financial reporting and process building.
• Education:
  
  Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
• Certifications:
  
  CPA preferred.
• Technical
  
  Skills:
  
  Net Suite experience (preferred); advanced Excel skills required.
• Knowledge:
  Extensive GAAP knowledge, including new pronouncements; corporate tax experience a plus.
• Skills:
