Summary:

Under the general supervision of the Clinical Director, the BCBA independently provides school-based functional behavioral analytic services (assessment, treatment, and consultation) for students attending the Bradley Schools. BCBAs also may provide supervision of graduate-level trainees. Responsibilities
  • BCBAs consistently apply the corporate values of respect, honesty, and fairness and pursue excellence in improving health outcomes through customer-friendly, geographically-accessible, high-value services within a comprehensive integrated academic health system.
  • Participate actively in the behavioral assessment of Bradley School students, including maintaining current knowledge of medical, developmental, and family histories, clinical diagnoses, and treatment protocols.
  • Provide quality behavioral analytic services to all assigned students.
  • Develop individualized behavior plans for each assigned student in consultation with the treatment team.
  • Develop and implement skills acquisition and social skills programs for assigned students in consultation with the treatment team.
  • Develop and implement positive behavior support plans and strategies in consultation with the treatment team.
  • Provide leadership and role modeling to multidisciplinary staff to maintain high-quality care for all students within the school program.
  • May serve as treatment team leader for Bradley School classrooms, including reviewing student records prior to admission, overseeing assessment, treatment, and education plans, coordinating team activities, and leading meetings with families and professionals.
  • Produce high-quality team reports, letters, or other required documentation in a timely manner.
  • Communicate effectively with special education directors, school representatives, and other community contacts/providers.
  • Consult with the school nurse, psychiatrist, and outside medical providers regarding medical/psychiatric issues as needed.
  • Work with school psychologists to clarify assessment needs and integrate findings into recommendations.
  • Maintain proactive and effective communication with the Clinical Director regarding clinical and administrative issues.
  • Utilize leadership, problem-solving, and conflict-resolution skills to maintain team effectiveness and balance clinical and systems perspectives.
  • Deliver high-quality services for students admitted to the school program or referred for outpatient consultation, including case management, individualized behavioral treatment, and outpatient consultation as assigned.
  • Provide supervision of graduate-level trainees enrolled in BCBA programs, as assigned.
  • Adhere to all school policies, complete required training, maintain crisis de-escalation certification, continuing education, licensure, and infection control standards.
  • Demonstrate punctuality, reliability, and appropriate use of sick time and STO, and understand the school organizational chart for issue reporting.
  • Participate in training seminars and committees as requested; perform other related duties as required.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to assigned teams, support program initiatives, raise equipment/supply/staffing concerns, and coordinate with management to solve problems in a timely manner.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Master’s Degree in Applied Behavior Analysis from an accredited program.
  • Board Certification as a BCBA by the Behavior Analytic Certification Board.
  • Licensure by the RI Department of Health as a Licensed Behavior Analyst (RI requirement).
