Hinckley is seeking a motivated and experienced Outboard Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have hands‑on experience servicing, diagnosing, and repairing outboard engines, with a strong focus on quality, safety, and customer satisfaction. • Diagnostics:
  Utilize diagnostic software to troubleshoot complex electrical, fuel, and engine performance issues.
• Repairs:
  Perform skilled tasks in the service, repair, and maintenance of outboard engines.
• Product Lines:
  Proficient in various outboard engines such as Mercury, Honda, Evinrude, Suzuki, and Yamaha.
• Testing:
  Calibrate and fine‑tune steering, throttle, and accessory systems. Maintain a detailed record of services.
• Safety Compliance:
  Adhere to manufacturing safety standards and maintain a clean work environment.
• Other:
  All duties as assigned.

• Experience:
  
  Marine Technical/Vocational graduate and/or one (1) year of experience in marine mechanics or related field.
• Physical Requirements:
  
  Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physically demanding tasks.
• Certifications:
  
  Must hold a valid driver’s license. Engine‑specific certification (preferred).
• Pre‑Employment:
  All applicants must be able to successfully pass a background check as a condition of employment.

• Strong understanding of sterndrive, outboard repair, and maintenance.
• Working knowledge of electrical diagnostic tools and software.
• Ability to troubleshoot problems with all types of equipment.
• Willing and able to educate themselves with OEM technical training/requirements.
• Excellent communication skills and strong attention to detail.
