Tax Accountant

I’m partnering with a well-known international group who are looking for a Tax Accountant to join their group tax team. It’s mainly UK VAT compliance, with about a day a week helping out on corporate tax and group reporting. If you’ve been doing VAT for a couple of years and want to learn more than one tax, this is a good one to look at.

What you’ll be doing:

• Preparing UK VAT returns for a number of businesses across the group
• Working on partial exemption across the group’s partially exempt businesses
• Keeping on top of the tax calendar and making sure deadlines are met
• Chasing the finance teams in each business for what you need
• Helping the corporate tax team with compliance and group reporting
• Keeping VAT procedures and records up to date

You’ll have a couple of years’ UK VAT compliance experience, either in practice or in-house, and you must have worked on partial exemption. You’re organised, you hit your deadlines and you don’t mind picking up the phone to chase people. You don’t need to be qualified, but you do need to be keen to learn.
