We are currently recruiting for an experienced Document Controller to join an established building, refurbishment and fit-out contractor based in Medway.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a Document Controller with a strong construction background who is looking to join a well-established contractor and play a key role in supporting multiple live projects.
As Document Controller, you will be responsible for the effective management, distribution and tracking of project documentation across several projects at any one time. You will work closely with project teams, clients, professional teams, subcontractors and suppliers to ensure information is accurate, up to date and easily accessible throughout the project lifecycle.
Duties Include:- Manage and maintain project documentation
- Upload, distribute, track and maintain project information accurately and efficiently
- Manage RFIs, technical submittals, sample submittals, drawings and other project documentation
- Coordinate with project teams regarding document distribution and project-specific requirements
- Liaise with professional teams to identify and resolve missing or inaccurate information
- Manage and track design information from subcontractors and suppliers, including drawings, technical submissions and RFIs
- Ensure documents can be efficiently retrieved throughout the project lifecycle
- Assist with the collation and management of Operation & Maintenance Manuals
- Attend internal and external meetings when required to discuss outstanding and overdue information
- Maintain and update progress reports for live projects
Assist with the upload and management of tenders and enquiries when required - Manage the publishing of incoming and outgoing project correspondence
- Provide general administrative and document control support to project teams as required
- Previous Document Control experience within the construction industry – essential
- A good understanding of the roles of professional teams, main contractors, subcontractors and the wider supply chain
- Excellent organisational skills and a strong attention to detail
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Confidence communicating with clients, professional teams, project teams and the supply chain
- The ability to manage multiple priorities and work to tight deadlines
- A proactive approach, with the ability to use your own initiative
- The ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a wider team
Up to £17.93 per annum + £17.93 per hour
