The Programme Manager will be responsible for developing and maintaining clear, integrated programme plans and coordinating delivery across a complex set of internal teams and external stakeholders in support of major customer contracts. The role will play a key part in ensuring effective control of schedule, cost, risk, dependencies and reporting across multi-party and international delivery activity. Working closely with senior leadership, the Programme Manager will help bring structure and visibility to delivery and may also directly manage selected projects or work streams within the wider programme.

Responsibilities

Will Include
  • Develop, maintain and drive integrated programme plans covering key deliverables, dependencies and milestones.
  • Coordinate cross-functional delivery activity across engineering, operations, supply chain, service, and other business functions, including external partners and international stakeholders where required.
  • Support the successful delivery of major customer contracts through effective programme governance, reporting and stakeholder engagement.
  • Identify, manage and elevate programme risks, issues, assumptions and dependencies in a timely and structured manner.
  • Monitor programme performance against schedule, cost and delivery objectives, helping to drive corrective action where required.
  • Run programme review meetings and maintain an effective reporting rhythm for internal, customer and partner stakeholders.
  • Support commercial and operational decision-making through accurate planning, forecasting and progress visibility.
  • Work with project teams and functional leads to ensure priorities, resources and actions are aligned to programme needs.
  • Directly manage selected projects or work streams within the wider programme where appropriate.
Qualifications And Experience
  • Significant experience in programme or project management within a technical environment.
  • Experience of coordinating multi-disciplinary teams and managing delivery across multiple concurrent work streams.
  • Strong experience in programme planning, governance, reporting, and the management of risk, issues and dependencies.
  • Good commercial awareness, with experience supporting delivery against major customer contract commitments, including cost and schedule requirements.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with customers, suppliers, partners and internal teams across complex and, ideally, international delivery environments.
  • Experience producing and maintaining key programme artefacts, reports, plans and delivery controls.
  • A recognised project or programme management qualification.
