Looking for a rewarding part-time role where your organisational skills can make a real impact? Join Portsmouth Youth Justice Service and help support the vital work that keeps children and young people on track towards a more positive future.

Your new role

Join our Youth Justice Service (YJS) and play a vital role in keeping the service running smoothly. You'll provide comprehensive administrative and business support, managing enquiries and referrals from partner agencies, maintaining accurate records on our case management system, preparing court documentation, supporting performance reporting, taking meeting minutes, and assisting with inspections. This is a varied and fast-paced role where your organisational skills, attention to detail, and ability to work effectively with a range of professionals will help ensure children and young people receive the support they need.

is the person summary:

We're looking for a compassionate, resilient and highly organised individual with excellent customer service skills to join our team. You'll be the first point of contact for families, professionals and members of the public, providing a calm, professional and supportive service, often in sensitive and emotionally challenging situations. With strong communication skills, attention to detail and confidence using a range of IT systems, you'll be able to manage enquiries effectively, work to deadlines and play a key role in supporting the safeguarding and wellbeing of children and young people.

Experience with in Children's Services is desirable but not essential.

Additional Information

This role is based 2.5 days per week in the Civic Offices.
