1:1 Teaching Assistant posts – Salary: £24,795 to £25,583 per annum. Actual salary £17,295 - £17,844 per annum
30.83 hours per week Monday - Friday 8.40am - 3.20pm (with a half-hour unpaid lunch break). Term time only (38 weeks per annum). Fixed term contract.
Start date:
January 2026 (as soon as possible) - August 2026. Closing date: 9.00am 9 January 2026. Interview date: w/c 19 January 2026.

As a Teaching Assistant in our school, you will have a passion for every child's learning and belief in enabling an inclusive environment for the benefit of all children. Joining our friendly and supportive team, we need flexible, reliable, and enthusiastic colleagues to support children with social communication, learning, physical, and speech and language needs. You will be an enthusiastic and resilient individual, preferably with experience of working with children with additional needs.
Responsibilities- Assist the class teacher and support pupils on a one-to-one or within a small group basis across a wide range of activities and learning tasks.
- Prepare and maintain teaching resources for pupils.
- Deal with challenging behaviour using a firm but fair approach.
- Develop effective working relationships with children, parents, staff, and other professionals to enable the best support for learning and development while promoting excellent behaviour and high standards.
- Experience working with children with additional needs is preferred.
- Flexible, reliable, enthusiastic and resilient.
- ELSA qualification or similar is an advantage but not essential.
