Term-time only (via Teaching Personnel)

Teaching Personnel is seeking a compassionate and dedicated SEN Learning support assistant t o join one of our supportive specialist schools in Portsmouth. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is passionate about helping young people with additional needs reach their full potential.

As an SEN LSA, you will support students with a range of learning difficulties and disabilities. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Providing one-to-one and small-group support

  • Assisting teachers in adapting activities and resources

  • Supporting students' social, emotional, and behavioural development

  • Helping to promote positive behaviour strategies

  • Working alongside teachers, SENCOs and wider school staff to deliver personalised learning plans

An SEN school is specifically designed for students with additional needs, this may include learning difficulties, physical disabilities, or social, emotional and mental health needs.   • Experience with in an SEN setting is desirable butnot essential

  • Empathy, patience and strong communication skills

  • Ability to build positive relationships with students and staff
