About the role:
just teachers is seeking a passionate and dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to support pupils with a range of additional needs, including Autism (ASC) and Moderate Learning Difficulties (MLD), at a welcoming SEN school in Rugby. This will be working in a SEN provision which supports students from EYFS age up to Post 16 age, which could mean you would be working in any group on any given day, so the right candidate needs to be comfortable covering across the whole school across all ages!
Key Requirements:
Support pupils in small group and 1:1 settings with learning and personal development. Assist the class teacher in planning and delivering tailored learning activities. Promote inclusion and encourage independence. Manage behaviour effectively using positive strategies. Level 2 or higher teaching assistant qualification or equivalent (Must be relevant to working with children) Proven experience working with children in a school or relevant setting (That can be referenced) A minimum of two references that cover the past two years, including last employer.
Ideally references will be education or school-based references
