SEMH Teaching Assistant – Portsmouth & Surrounding Areas
Portsmouth, Hampshire
£89–£93 per day
April 2026 start
We are recruiting Teaching Assistants to support SEMH specialist schools across Portsmouth and surrounding areas
.
These schools support pupils who benefit from additional emotional and behavioural support, providing structured and supportive environments where students can thrive.
The role- Supporting pupils with SEMH needs
- Working 1:1 or in small groups
- Supporting classroom learning and behaviour strategies
- Building positive relationships with pupils
- Experience working with young people
- Resilient, supportive and patient approach
- DBS on the Update Service
- Safeguarding training
Flexible opportunities are available including daily supply, short-term and long-term roles starting from April 2026
