We are looking for a student staff member – a Student Voice Assistant for the faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences – to support the Representation team in our work with Student Reps (training, support, recognition), help us continue our partnership with University Staff, and to develop our democratic structures and student council. The post‑holders will support the Student Representation team in the organisation, communication, and support of our Student Reps, ensuring they are engaging with UPSU and their University commitments, attending mandatory and additional training, and ensuring they are carrying out their roles effectively.

The position will be 7 hours a week (equivalent to 1 day a week) but this is flexible and there may be additional hours available depending on need. You don’t need to be from a particular faculty to be one of our Student Voice Assistants, but a HSS student would be preferable.
