Student Voice Assistant – Creative & Cultural Industries (Student Role Only)
We are looking for a student staff member - a Student Voice Assistant for the faculty of Creative and Cultural Industries - to support the Representation team in our work with Student Reps (training, support, recognition), help us continue our partnership with University Staff, and to develop our democratic structures and student council. The post-holders will support the Student Representation team in the organisation, communication, and support of our Student Reps, ensuring they are engaging with UPSU and their University commitments, attending mandatory and additional training, and ensuring they are carrying out their roles effectively.
It’ll be important to understand how to communicate with students from different backgrounds, how to work within a team and handle competing priorities, and how to adapt to volunteer needs, along with a good grasp of broader student issues and an understanding of student voice in general.
The position will be 7 hours a week (equivalent to 1 day a week) but this is flexible and there may be additional hours available depending on need. You don’t need to be from a particular faculty to be one of our Student Voice Assistants, but a CCI student would be preferable.
