Health and Social Care Assessor (Field-Based)
Manchester and Surrounding Areas | Field-based with travel required
Full-time | Permanent
£33,000 per year + bonus + expenses

- Assessor qualification (TAQA, CAVA, A1 or D32/33)
- Minimum 2 years’ recent management experience in Adult Health and Social Care
- Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel
- Comfortable working independently in a field-based role

The Role- We’re recruiting for a qualified Health and Social Care Assessor to support apprenticeship learners across workplace settings.
- This role focuses specifically on only carrying out workplace observations and contributing to learner progress, working alongside Personal Development Managers who lead the wider apprenticeship journey.
- You will work with learners across Manchester and surrounding areas, with travel planned to maximise efficiency.
- You will typically complete 10 observations per week, alongside planning, reporting, and remote admin work.
- This role is sometimes referred to as Apprenticeship Assessor, Health and Social Care Tutor or Skills Coach within Health and Social Care.
- Conduct workplace observations in care settings
- Assess learners against apprenticeship standards
- Provide structured feedback and support progression
- Manage a caseload of learners across your region
- Ensure compliance with Ofsted and awarding body requirements
- Support learners through mock assessments and reviews
