Senior Teaching Fellow – CESSA position within the School of Education, Languages & Linguistics at the University of Portsmouth.

Portsmouth.
Contract:
Fixed‑term Part‑time (12 months, 0.5 FTE).
Salary: £21,083 – £22,977 per annum (1x FTE £41,064 – £44,746 per annum).

19 days per week (2.5 days per week as agreed).
Start Date:
July 2026 – August 2027.
The role involves teaching, curriculum design, assessment, and administration of education and childhood modules at undergraduate and postgraduate levels. The successful candidate will supervise students for final projects/dissertations, support student learning and progression, and contribute to a student‑centred teaching culture.
Assessment ProcessA micro‑teach workshop followed by interviews will take place on 11 August 2026. Applicants must pass the micro‑teach stage to progress to interview.

Salary Information: New appointments are made to the entry point of the advertised grade, with progression to the maximum in a reasonable timeframe. Higher starting salary or market supplement may be offered for exceptional candidates.
