About the Role

Supply Desk is seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated SEN Teacher to join a welcoming specialist provision in Portsmouth.

This rewarding opportunity involves teaching pupils with a range of additional needs including Autism, Moderate Learning Difficulties (MLD), Speech & Language needs and SEMH.

You'll deliver engaging, differentiated lessons while working alongside experienced support staff to help every learner develop academically, socially and emotionally.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan and deliver engaging lessons tailored to individual learning needs.
  • Differentiate learning to meet EHCP targets.
  • Create a safe, nurturing and inclusive classroom environment.
  • Monitor pupil progress and adapt teaching strategies accordingly.
  • Work collaboratively with teaching assistants, therapists and parents.
  • Encourage independence, confidence and positive outcomes.
  • Maintain high standards of safeguarding and wellbeing.
Candidate Requirements
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
  • Experience teaching pupils with SEND is desirable.
  • Excellent classroom and behaviour management skills.
  • Knowledge of EHCPs and adaptive teaching.
  • Patient, flexible and creative teaching approach.
  • DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one.
