Lunchtime Supervisary Assistant - Portsmouth area

We are seeking caring, dedicated, and enthusiastic Lunchtime Supervisory Assistants to join a supportive specialist education setting in the Portsmouth area. This is a rewarding opportunity to support pupils aged 2-19 with a range of learning, communication, and complex health needs during lunchtime, helping to ensure their safety, wellbeing, and enjoyment throughout the school day.

The Role

As a Lunchtime Supervisory Assistant, you will support children and young people with a range of special educational needs during lunchtime activities and routines. You will play an important role in promoting positive social interaction, independence, wellbeing, and a safe, engaging lunchtime experience.

Working Pattern:
Monday to Friday, between 11.00am - 2.00pm

Experience and Training
  • Experience supporting individuals with additional needs is advantageous
  • A positive attitude and willingness to learn
  • Previous experience working in a UK School
  • Experience working with children in education or in a similar setting
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Up-to-date Safeguarding training issued in the last year (desirable however not essential as training can be provided)
To Be Eligible, You Must
  • Hold Right to Work in the UK
  • Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application
  • Provide two professional, child-related references
