Mechanical Design Engineer

Mechanical Design Engineer / Product Design Engineer / Design Engineer required to join a leading HVAC manufacturer.

The Mechanical Design Engineer / Product Design Engineer / Design Engineer will be responsible for the design and development of mechanical components and systems. This role will involve an understanding of 3D drawing process, equipment selection, calculation methods and witnessing of testing of products including Air Handling Units, fan coil, refrigeration, compressor, heating and ventilation systems.

This Mechanical Design Engineer / Product Design Engineer / Design Engineer will preferably have knowledge refrigeration design. Candidates with a wider HVAC system manufacture design background will also be considered. This will be office-based near West Bromwich.

Mechanical Design Engineer / Product Design Engineer / Design Engineer Role

• Able to understand and, on occasion, undertake 3D CAD drawings of mechanical products including Air Handling Units, fan coil, refrigeration, compressor, heating and ventilation systems
• Involved in the selection process of compressor, coil and heat exchange equipment
• Work with manufacturing teams to enhance product efficiency
• Liaise with varying internal engineering departments to ensure delivery from design to manufacture
• Able to commute to the office near West Bromwich

Mechanical Design Engineer / Product Design Engineer / Design Engineer Requirements

• Experience as a Mechanical Design Engineer / Product Design Engineer / Design Engineer within a HVAC manufacturer/similar Building Services Engineering employer
• Higher level qualification in Building Services Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or related field is preferred
• Understanding of refrigeration design concept or wider HVAC system process
• Capable user of 3D CAD software is desired
• Able to commute to the office near West Bromwich
