Senior Buyer

The company have a long history of delivering marine and heavy civils projects along the South Coast, helping to protect shorelines, improve ports, strengthen sea defences, and support the region’s water infrastructure. With several new projects starting between now and next spring, they have a strong pipeline of work confirmed through 2026 and into 2027.

The Senior Buyer will support the Commercial Team to manage the full buying process of construction materials and products. It is essential you have experience of working a heavy civil engineering environment working with specialist suppliers to build lasting, reliable relationships.

Senior Buyer Duties:

* Maintain supplier performance records, approved supplier lists, and support QHSE audits.

* Procure materials, plant and services directly from suppliers, managing enquiries, negotiations and orders.

* Provide cost advice and analysis to estimators and project teams.

* Coordinate materials, plant and logistics to drive efficiencies and reduce costs.

* Support the procurement team, deputise when required, and help develop junior staff.
