Up to £60,000  benefits A leading organisation in the Defence & Security sector is looking for an Infrastructure Engineer (IT/Server Engineer) to join their team in Portsmouth. This is a great opportunity to work in a high-impact environment supporting critical IT projects and programmes, delivering infrastructure solutions across the full lifecycle. The role You'll work closely with project managers and technical leads to provide technical leadership and hands-on support, helping deliver complex technical tasks and outcomes on time and within budget.

Key responsibilities Provide technical leadership and support to IT projects/programmes Lead small projects (or work streams within larger programmes), guiding a small technical team Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders/customers Identify issues early, propose pragmatic solutions, and deliver quality outputs Support delivery across the full lifecycle (conception through to in-service) What we're looking for Proven communication skills and ability to convey complex technical information clearly Experience working across a range of engineering/technical projects Broad IT knowledge and ability to apply best practice to infrastructure delivery Strong motivation/drive to resolve issues and keep delivery on track Commercial awareness relevant to IT/infrastructure delivery Degree in Science/Engineering (or equivalent recognised professional qualification) Benefits (high level) Competitive salary package Matched pension contribution  life assurance Strong holiday allowance (with option to buy additional days) Options for health cash plan / private medical / dental Employee discounts (retail, travel, restaurants, cinema etc.)
