Position

Mechanical Integration and Assembly Technician – Portsmouth, United Kingdom

Location & Work Arrangement
  • Portsmouth
  • On Site – Full time, AM/PM shifts
  • Clearance:

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform mechanical integration and assembly of aerospace systems.
  • Support AIT (Assembly, Integration & Test) activities.
  • Follow engineering drawings, manuals and technical instructions accurately.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure correct component installation.
  • Report and document assembly progress and any technical issues.
Required Skills
  • Competent in mechanical assembly and integration techniques.
  • Ability to follow technical drawings, schematics and assembly instructions.
  • Experience in multi‑disciplinary engineering teams.
  • Willingness to work AM/PM shifts on site full time.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, or equivalent military experience.
  • Proven experience in mechanical integration or assembly, preferably in aerospace or high‑precision manufacturing environments.
Desirable Skills
  • Familiarity with AIT processes and aerospace standards.
  • Experience in component installation, jigs or tooling.
  • Knowledge of inspection and quality procedures.
