An opportunity for a mechanical & structural engineer with strong composites experience to join a delivery team supporting verification & validation activities across composite structural and non-structural components. You’ll work end-to-end from coupon testing through to larger assemblies, supporting development of bonded/bolted joints and composite-to-metal interfaces, while contributing to peer review and governance in a multi-disciplinary setting.

- Deliver
verification & validation
for composite components (coupon through to sub-assembly/assembly level). - Support development and assessment of
bonded and bolted composite joints
. - Work with design/manufacturing stakeholders on
composite-to-metal interfaces
. - Produce and review technical documentation, test evidence, and engineering reports.
- Conduct
peer reviews
of engineering work packages and ensure consistent governance. - Work closely with project delivery to meet agreed
quality, schedule, and budget
expectations. - Promote safe working practices and support ALARP-minded risk reduction across delivery.
- Proven experience withV&V / test evidence
for composite structures. - Hands-on knowledge of
pre-preg and/or resin infusion composite manufacturing routes. - Degree-qualified (or equivalent) in
Mechanical or Structural Engineering
. - Experience delivering on complex programmes with strong attention to detail and independent working capability.
- Able to communicate clearly in writing and verbally, including explaining complex technical content to non-specialists.
- Experience operating within structured processes/standards (regulated environments preferred).
- Chartered Engineer (or working towards).
- Experience in maritime defence, aerospace, or similarly regulated sectors.
- Prior involvement in multidisciplinary peer review / technical governance.
- Familiarity with relevant structural/composites analysis or test planning approaches.
