The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring engineering programmes remain organised, visible, and on schedule. They will be responsible for coordinating up to ten vehicle control accounts (major subsystems), maintaining project information, tracking risks and dependencies, and supporting effective communication across engineering teams. Alongside project responsibilities, the role will provide direct support to the Chief Engineer through diary management, meeting coordination, minute-taking, action tracking, and stakeholder engagement.
The position requires excellent organisational skills, attention to detail, confidence working with engineers and suppliers, and the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
Responsibilities Will Include Project Coordination- Own and coordinate up to ten engineering control accounts (vehicle systems), ensuring project information remains accurate and up to date.
- Maintain project schedules and delivery milestones within JIRA, ensuring dates, progress updates, and dependencies are accurately represented.
- Work closely with engineering teams to ensure individuals understand their responsibilities, commitments, and deliverables.
- Monitor control account progress and elevate issues that may impact project schedules or deliverables.
- Ensure technical, schedule, and programme risks are identified, documented, and maintained within project tracking systems.
- Support the tracking and reporting of control account costs, budgets, and system mass properties.
- Identify and manage interdependencies between vehicle systems, ensuring impacts affecting one control account are communicated and captured across all affected accounts.
- Assist with project reviews, reporting, and preparation of programme status updates.
- Support configuration and change management processes where required.
- Facilitate communication between engineering disciplines to ensure alignment and timely decision-making.
- Manage and coordinate the Chief Engineer's calendar, ensuring availability is optimised and priorities are effectively managed.
- Organise internal engineering meetings, reviews, and workshops.
