Senior Quality Engineer

Description

As a Senior Quality Engineer at Honeywell you will be responsible for driving Quality improvement initiatives. This is a Full time on site position based in Portsmouth.

Work with the existing Quality team and the Development Operations and Engineering teams to drive Quality improvement initiatives

Key responsibilities

• Participate in daily production meetings to address and escalate quality concerns as needed.
• Coordinate the Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) process and lead internal quality audits per the site schedule.
• Actively identify and implement continuous improvement and scrap reduction opportunities to enhance cost of poor quality (COPQ).
• Utilize Six Sigma tools to analyze defects and improve process yield and reduce variation.
• Conduct customer complaint investigations using 8D/PDCA methodologies and lead 3rd party audits when necessary.

Key skills and qualifications

• Degree in Engineering or a related technical field.
• Experience in the process industry within a modern manufacturing environment.
• Six Sigma Black Belt certification preferred along with strong problem-solving skills.
• Proficient in computer usage and able to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
• Self-motivated with initiative and good influencing skills fluent in English.
