Debt Recovery Agent / Customer Support

Salary: £28,500 P/A

Location: Portsmouth, Hampshire

Hours: Monday to Friday, full-time hours

Contract: Temporary position for a minimum of 3 months, with potential extensions for the right candidate

We are looking for an experienced Debt Recovery Agent to join a growing business in Cosham.

• Monitor customers to ensure payments are up to date.
• Chase outstanding debt on accounts.
• Set up various payment plans/options where customers look to be struggling to pay their finances.
• Communicate with customers regarding billing queries and overdue payments.
• Provide general customer services via email and on the telephone.
• Work closely with the Finance department.
• Maintain records and ensure the database is kept up-to-date.
• Resolve disputes/discrepancies.
• Assist vulnerable customers.
• Follow FCA regulations.
• Assist with the preparation of litigation cases.

• Brilliant communication skills.
• Good customer service experience is required.
• Precious collections / Debt recovery experience is beneficial although not essential.
• Work well both in a team and independently.
• Successful experience in a similar role.
• Confident in IT / using various databases.
