Cost Analyst

The Cost Analyst is responsible for performing standardized SAP CO transactions. This is a 13‑month fixed‑term contract (maternity cover), reporting into the BU Cost Accountant, and is part of the Finance team located in Portsmouth, UK and will be an on‑site role.

• Perform standard cost planning as part of the annual AOP process, including new part number creation and collaboration with plant representatives in understanding BOM and routing changes.
• Support Production Order (PDO), Project Systems (PS) and Sales Order processes, including review of WIP, settlement of completed production orders, and review of audit logs and financial outputs to ensure completeness and accuracy.
• Complete standard One Stream forms, including inter‑company profit, headcount and balance sheet submissions, and monitor Assets Under Construction (AUC).
• Review cost centre spend against AOP, report key variances to plant cost centre owners, and prepare daily and weekly plant flash reports showing actual versus forecast performance, key metrics and financial performance.
• Complete month‑end activities within agreed deadlines and build monthly spread templates to send to plant partners for forecast data.

• Intermediate use of Excel, including pivot tables and lookups.
