Financial Controller

This Financial Controller role in Portsmouth is all about managing the numbers and ensuring the smooth running of the accounting and finance operations. You'll be responsible for overseeing financial processes, reporting, and helping the business make informed financial decisions.

• Oversee the day-to-day accounting and finance operations of the organisation.
• Prepare accurate financial reports and ensure compliance with relevant regulations.
• Manage budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis to support business decisions.
• Lead and develop the finance team to achieve departmental objectives.
• Ensure effective financial controls are in place and adhered to.
• Collaborate with senior management to provide financial insights and recommendations.
• Handle tax compliance and liaise with external auditors as required.
• Monitor cash flow and manage financial risks effectively.

• A professional accounting qualification such as ACA, ACCA, or CIMA.
• Strong technical accounting knowledge and financial reporting skills.
• Experience in leading a finance team within the business services industry.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Proficiency in financial systems and tools.
• Strong communication and leadership skills.

• Management bonus of up to 15%.
