Salary:£40,000 - £55,000 + Bonus
Hours:Monday - Friday (8.30am - 5.30pm)

This is a unique opportunity to join a fast-growing driving experience and motor sport events business, working directly with the Founder and leadership team. You will take ownership of the finance function while playing a key role in shaping the financial strategy of the company.
The role combines hands‑on financial management with commercial insight, helping the business scale its events, optimise profitability and improve financial visibility across the organisation.
The RoleAs Head of Finance you will lead the day‑to‑day finance function while providing clear financial insight to support business growth.
You will work closely with the Founder to ensure the business has accurate reporting, strong financial controls, and the data needed to make fast, informed decisions.
This role suits someone who enjoys working in a dynamic, operational environment where events, staffing, and logistics move quickly.
Key Responsibilities- Maintain strong financial controls and robust processes
- Ensure finance supports operational teams effectively
- Prepare monthly management accounts with clear analysis and commentary
- Deliver financial reports and insights directly to the Founder
- Track KPIs across events, locations, and revenue streams
- Identify trends, risks, and opportunities within performance data
- Run and oversee payroll for both permanent staff and a large freelance event workforce
- Manage accounts payable and receivable processes
- Ensure accurate financial records, reconciliations, and timely payments
- Maintain rolling cashflow forecasts
- Provide recommendations to improve financial performance
- VAT returns and statutory reporting
- Ensure financial compliance and best practice
- Support year-end processes and audits where required
- Maintain and improve finance systems
- Identify opportunities for automation, efficiency, and scalability
- Implement processes that support the growth of events and locations
- Strong experience in a Finance Manager or Senior Management Accountant role
- Proven experience producing monthly management accounts and financial reporting
- Previous experience running payroll and controlling core finance operations
- Relevant professional qualifications such as ACCA, CIMA or ACA are highly desirable
- Ability to communicate complex financial information clearly to non‑financial stakeholders
