Management Accountant Leicester | £45,000 – £50,000  Study Support Predominantly onsite | Hybrid working can be discussed Are you a part-qualified accountant looking for a role where you can genuinely develop into a well-rounded commercial finance professional? We’re working with a successful SME in Leicester, which forms part of a wider group, to recruit a Management Accountant into a key position within their finance team.

Reporting directly to the Finance Director, this is a fantastic opportunity for someone who has built a solid grounding in management accounting but is now looking for greater exposure, responsibility and mentorship as they progress towards qualification. You’ll work closely with an experienced FD who is keen to invest time into your development, giving you exposure not only to the core management accounts process but also budgeting, forecasting, commercial analysis and interaction with stakeholders across the wider business.

What will you be doing? Preparing monthly management accounts, including P&L, balance sheet and cash flow analysis Supporting month-end and year-end processes including journals, accruals, prepayments and reconciliations Analysing performance against budget, forecast and prior-year results Investigating variances and providing meaningful commentary to management Supporting the annual budgeting and forecasting processes Producing management information, KPI reporting and financial analysis Working with stakeholders across the business to improve their understanding of financial performance Supporting the Finance Director with commercial projects, business cases and wider decision-making Identifying opportunities to improve reporting, processes and financial controls What are we looking for?

Ideally, you’ll be studying towards ACCA, CIMA or ACA and already have experience within a management accounting or similar role. You don’t need to be the finished article. More important is having a strong grounding in finance, a willingness to learn and the ambition to develop beyond traditional month-end accounting into a broader, more commercially focused position. Alongside a salary of £45,000 – £50,000, study support will be available to help you complete your professional qualification. The role is ideally based onsite in Leicester, particularly given the level of exposure and mentorship available, although hybrid working can be discussed for the right candidate.
