Overview
Consultants currently take part in a 1:7 weekday on call rota, supported by junior trainees and a Hospital at Night Team.
Job DetailsThe post holder will be appointed on the new consultant contract and the sessions will be allocated accordingly. The job plan is a 10 PA working week and is reviewed annually.
Part‑Time OptionAny consultant who is unable, for personal reasons, to work full‑time can be considered for the post. If appointed part‑time, the job plan will be adjusted in discussion with the Clinical Director and relevant consultants.
ResponsibilitiesThe successful candidate will adopt a flexible approach to job planning and engage in providing patient services to other specialties beyond the main department. The candidate is expected to practise in a sub‑specialist role and has experience in breast reconstruction, including microvascular techniques.
Qualifications & SkillsExcellent communication and teamwork within a multi‑disciplinary team. Ability to contribute to the national profile of the department through publications and presentations at international meetings.
